Frequent Sun Exposure and Skin
We see many patients who for years, did not adequately protect their skin and are now facing the consequences. Frequent sun exposure can make the skin lose its elasticity, increase wrinkles and fine lines, and create leathery, thick skin. The sooner the patient has more time in the sun, the sooner the skin will age. To combat damage, the skin sheds dead layers of skin cells, but it is harder for the skin to restore and rejuvenate itself with age. Frequent sun exposure can also lead to a more severe consequence, such as skin cancer. Contact our office for a skin care consultation with our Registered Nurse and Medical Aesthetician Kim. She can recommend a skin care regime for your specific skin type to keep you looking healthy, young, vibrant and glowing!
