This 43 year old Korean-American lady is now almost three months post her Asian double-eyelid surgery. She had two goals for her surgery. Firstly, she wanted to create a crease on her eyelids to “open up” the
appearance of her eyes. Secondly, she had a small amount excess skin on her upper eyelids, so she wanted to remove a conservative amount of skin.
An Asian patient in her 20s would not be need to remove skin if the goal was simply to create a crease. In our patient’s case, she was able to achieve her goal of making a crease, but also the subtle
rejuvenation of her eyes.
It’s important to realize that this patient’s appearance will continue to evolve modestly over the next 9 months. At the three month point, she looks very natural and feels totally comfortable in social
situations. However, there is still a small amount of swelling in the upper eyelids, especially above the eyelids crease. We will keep you updated on her progress later in the year.
Overall, the patient and I are thrilled with her outcome and can’t wait to see her final results.
