This 40 year old upper lid blepharoplasty patient from Pittsburgh complained that her upper eyelids were prematurely heavy for her age and also asymmetrical – she had more skin on her right than her left. I always warn patients that aiming for perfect symmetry from surgical results is often not an attainable goal. However, my goal is to lean towards the most symmetrical and natural appearing result possible. She was very pleased with her result. She has younger, brighter, and more symmetrical eyelids after her surgery. Most importantly, as with all my surgeries, the goal is a completely natural and unoperated appearance.
