This 66 year old lady wanted to rejuvenate her facial appearance. She was interested in rejuvenating her face, but was particularly bothered by her neck. Her result has all the hallmarks of my priorities for a face/neck lift result – she looks rejuvenated and her result is totally natural. These pictures were taken 16 months after the surgery, so they are far enough post-op from the surgery to represent the final outcome.
Why Post Operative Care Is Just As Important.
Frontal:
She had an extended deep plane facelift and a platysmaplasty. The platysmaplasty was very important to address the heavy bands in her neck. Given the priority to eliminate these bands, Dr. Leong performed a full “corset type” platysmaplasty for her. We quite often see patients who had face/neck lifts performed elsewhere in which the neck bands begin to recur within 6 months of the surgery – this can be very disappointing to patients. When eliminating the bands is of high priority, the corset platysmaplasty is one of the highest reliability methods of getting rid of the bands for the long-term. Dr. Leong often performs a deep neck lift on patients, but this patient did not require that approach given her lack of deep fat in her neck. ”
Left Oblique:
In addition to the great result in her neck, please note the complete correction of her jowls and heaviness of her lower face 16 months after the surgery.
