This 41 year old patient had three injections over a six year period with Restylane L to her tear troughs. All injections were with a microcannula – no filler was injected with needles. She had an excellent result that lasted many years. Patients like her often have a desire to avoid surgery if possible, or at least delay surgery till later in life when it may be truly necessary. This is a wise choice because multiple lower eyelid blepharoplasties can lead to an increase chance of complications.
Left Lateral:
The patient had tremendous improvement in her tear trough as well as a natural result. Putting too much filler in this area under the eye is a mistake, the key is to make the filler undetectable.
